The right size and width

Which shoe size and widht are right for me?

To make this possible, it is important to know your shoe size. Let us help you find it:

To determine your shoe size, you must first measure the length of your foot – from the tip of your longest toe to the back of your heel. The easiest way to determine the length of your foot is to place a sheet of paper on the floor directly against a wall, and place your foot on it with your heel against the wall. Make sure you place all your weight on your foot since you will be doing this later when you walk in your shoes. Now ask someone to make a mark on the paper at the tip of your longest toe, holding the pen or pencil completely perpendicular to the ground.

Now simply measure from the end of the paper to the mark and you will have the length of your foot. You may now use the table to find your perfect shoe size.

Be sure to measure your other foot, too, since your feet may be different sizes.

HASSIA recommends: When in doubt, be sure to go up a size to avoid pressure points. For models with lambskin lining, we advise you to go up a half-size.

Find the right width

Shoes will only fit perfectly if their width is correct for your foot.

Measure the circumference of your foot with a measuring tape while standing. We recommend having another person measure your foot for you.

Using the measuring tape, measure all the way around your foot at the widest point of the ball of your foot. The tape should fit snugly without being stretched or pulled too tightly. Once you have your measurements, consult the table to find the correct width.

Please note: if you have hallux valgus (a bunion), please be sure to include the area directly behind the ball of the big toe when you measure to find your correct width.

Our tip: if you do not have a measuring tape, you can also determine the circumference measurements using a thread and a ruler.

HASSIA shaft width

Measure the circumference of your calf while sitting with a measuring tape at the widest point. The tape should not be stretched or pulled too tightly.

A person’s calves can be different sizes, so be sure to measure both legs. Base your decision on the circumference of your larger leg. You can then find your suitable shaft width in the table.
