Sizes and Widths

The right size and width

Which shoe size and widht are right for me?

To ensure that you feel truly comfortable in your HASSIA shoes, they must fit properly.

To determine your shoe size, you need to measure the length of your foot - from the longest toe to the end of your heel. You can easily determine the length by placing a sheet of paper directly against the wall and standing on it with your foot so that your heel touches the wall. Fully load your foot, as you will later when walking in the shoe. Now mark the spot on the sheet where the longest toe is. Keep the pen perpendicular. It's easier if you ask someone to help you.

Then simply measure the distance from the edge of the paper to the mark, and you'll have your foot length. With the help of our table, you can then determine your shoe size.

Feet can vary in length, so you should repeat this process with the other foot.

HASSIA recommends: Round up and choose the larger size if in doubt, to avoid pressure points. For models lined with lambswool, it's advisable to choose a half size larger.

Finding the right width

To ensure your shoes fit perfectly, you need the right width.

Measure the circumference of your foot while standing, using a measuring tape. Again, having a second person assist you can be helpful.

Place the measuring tape around the widest part of your foot, typically the ball of your foot. The tape should snugly encircle your foot without causing too much tension. Now, take your circumference measurement and find the corresponding value in the table, depending on your foot length.

Caution: If you have a bunion (hallux valgus), you must measure immediately behind the big toe joint to find your correct width.

Tip: If you don't have a measuring tape on hand, you can also determine the circumference measurements using a piece of string and a ruler.

HASSIA Shaft Widths

Measure your calf circumference while sitting using a measuring tape at the widest point. The tape should fit snugly without any tension.

Since calves can vary, you should repeat this process with the other leg. The circumference of the thicker leg is what matters. You can then determine your appropriate shaft width from our table.
